$22 - $30 per hour (DOE)
Schedule:
Day Shift only | 40-60 hours per week Position Overview We are hiring experienced Welders and Vessel Fitters for a busy industrial fabrication shop in Victoria, TX. This role focuses on the layout, fit-up, and welding of ASME-coded pressure vessels, structural steel, and related components for the oil & gas and industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and shop sketches Layout, fit, and assemble pressure vessel components (shells, heads, nozzles, flanges, and internals) Perform structural and vessel welding using FCAW, SMAW, and MIG processes Ensure all fit-ups meet dimensional tolerances and ASME standards Prepare joints, bevel, and clean surfaces for welding Work safely and maintain a clean, organized work area Collaborate with other fitters, welders, and shop personnel to meet production schedules Requirements Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a vessel fitter, structural fitter, or combination welder/fitter Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings Experience working with carbon steel (stainless steel experience a plus) Must be able to pass a weld test (fillet and/or 6G preferred) Reliable transportation and willingness to work overtime when needed Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and test results ($22-$30/hr) Steady day-shift schedule with consistent overtime (40-60 hours/week) Opportunity for temp-to-hire or direct placement Steady work in a growing fabrication environment
