Full Job Description Flare Service LLC is an equipment manufacture for the gas and waste water industry is currently looking for experienced Pipe Welders to join our team in Weatherford, TX. Our Fabrication Shop specializes in Enviornmental equipment used in the Natural Gas and Waste Water Industries. Welders will be responsible for welding pipe and structural steel experience is required must be able to pass a 3G weld test.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Required to complete AWS certification 3G test using (FCAW) Flux Core - Mig Welding. 1/8 to unlimited thickness. Ability to read blueprints using GIT tolerances and AWS weld symbols. Must be able to operate overhead cranes using proper rigging techniques, forklifts and drill presses of all types. Have general understanding of AWS requirements for weld sizes, multiply passes, pre-heating, inner pass temperatures, partial and full penetration welds. Must be able to use oxy fuel torches and burn structural members up to 1" thick.
Must have own tools:
Welding Hood, Welding Gloves, Framing Square, Torpedo Level, 25' Tape, Ball Peen Hammer, Center Punch, and Side Cut Style Plyers. Follow all company safety rules and procedures. Capable of working in a safe and productive manner. Capable of lifting 45 pounds in a safe manner. Work in a safe manner at a high production rate Able to level and square parts while tacking into place Fix and rewire welding machines (wire rolls weigh 40lbs) Lift and hold 50lbs and be able to set it down gently Stand for 8-10 hours Climb up and down equipment to fit parts or to weld parts sometimes one handed MIG weld: dual shield flux core 0.45 (95%) hard wire 0.35 (5%) Be able to read and interpret blueprints Requirements 2 -5 years plus experience in advanced fitting Strong capacity for teamwork Read and understand Blueprints Good communication skills Demonstrate initiative and autonomy Complete drug screen and background check

Qualifications:
Proficient in basic math including addition/ subtraction of whole numbers, fractions and decimals Proficient in reading a tape measure/ rulers in increments of 1/16" Ability to read blue prints Ability to understand manufacturing sequence in a vessel fabrication shop Ability to use various welding, grinding and fitting tools Ability to follow shop procedures, quality procedures and safety practices. Ability to pass 3G welding test Requires pressure vessel shop fabrication experience Ability to lift materials job components up to 50 pounds Ability to arrive to work on time
