Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and products, supporting our commitment to excellence and innovation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing advanced welding techniques and fabrication skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication of metal components. Perform various welding processes including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, power tools, and shop math to verify dimensions and ensure precision in fabrication. Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal, pipe materials, and other metal components using plasma cutters, soldering tools, pipe threading equipment, and hand tools. Adhere strictly to safety protocols while operating machinery, handling materials, and working on construction sites or fabrication shops. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards for all welded and fabricated products. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspection reports, and compliance with ASME codes & standards. Skills Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures. Proficiency in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and technical specifications accurately. Skilled in measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and shop math for precise fabrication work. Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes, assembly techniques, and metal materials including sheet metal fabrication. Experience with plasma cutting, pipe threading, soldering, and the use of power tools for fabrication tasks. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels or piping systems is a plus. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to welding environments and construction sites. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for mechanical fabrication projects. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication work.
