Endorsement Field service Shop math Attention to detail Power tools Full Job DescriptionTHIS IS A JOB SHOP, NOT A PRODUCTION FACILITY. THIS UNIQUE POSITION REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO WELD WITHIN THE SHOP, AT JOB SITES, HELP WITH INSTALLATIONS, AND OTHER VARIOUS CAPACITIES
;AND GENERAL CONSTRUCTION KNOWLEDGE IS A PLUS. TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM JOB SITES IS PROVIDED. THIS IS NOT A POSITION THAT HAS THE WELDER WORKING WITHIN THE SHOP ALL OF THE TIME.
```DUTIES```- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment according to blueprints and specifications
- Use various power tools and equipment to cut, shape, and weld metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and diagrams to determine project requirements
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal pieces using calipers, rulers, and other measuring instruments
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate measurements and dimensions
- Weld metal parts together using various welding techniques including mig, stick, and tig (tig experience not required)
- Inspect finished products for quality and ensure they meet code standards ```SKILLS```
- Must be currently certified for Stick Welding
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Ability to fabricate and assemble metal structures according to specifications
- Skilled in using power tools and equipment for cutting, shaping, and welding metal
- Knowledge of codes standards related to fabrication and welding processes
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations Must have 2+ years of on the job welding experience (high school and tech school are not counted toward experience requirement) Hours are Monday through Thursday, with an occasional Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm This position requires a high level of attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work independently.
