Precision Sheet Metal Welder Seeking a precision sheet metal welder. We require experience in light gauge precision sheet metal welding in primarily aluminum and mild steel applications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Select materials required and setup machines safely and in a manner to provide part consistency and production efficiency. Interpret prints and instructions to manufacture product. Set up and operate machines, independently with limited supervision. Operate machine after setup to fabricate parts, while maintaining production and quality goals. Complete all related documentation (travelers, maintenance, and work records). Ensure that the first part of each job is inspected to prevent incorrect products. Perform all in-process inspections as required by the departmental work instructions. Ensure parts are properly stacked or packed for in-process movement or shipping. Complete all other duties as assigned by the department supervisor. Operate other machines or equipment as directed by the supervisor, when work may be slow in your area. Maintain good housekeeping and perform machinery maintenance. Work may consist of repetitive motion, consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs, and standing. The employee may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws. Overtime will be required as needed.
REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES
Must be a dedicated, self-motivated, team player willing to do what it takes to satisfy an aggressive production schedule. Seeks continuous improvement of job skills and procedures. Good communicator (verbal and written)
SKILLS REQUIRED
Must have precision sheet metal welding experience. Proficient in welding light gauge aluminum using MIG and TIG welding equipment. Must be able to pass an onsite welding test. Will be required to read and interpret blueprints to ensure the finished product meets and/or exceeds print or in-process tolerances. May operate other department equipment as required.
