Position Overview The TIG Welder/Fabricator is responsible for performing TIG welding and fabricating custom sheet metal parts. This role involves understanding engineered drawings, creating components and fixtures, and delivering high-quality welds in a quick-paced manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities- Perform TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and steel.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
- Fabricate custom components, jigs, and fixtures to meet customer requirements.
- Operate hand tools and machinery in accordance with safety standards and SOPs.
- Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
- Monitor material consumption and report any issues.
- Carry out other related duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills
- 2 years of TIG welding experience (aluminum preferred)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a busy production environment
- Mechanical aptitude and solid math skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Clear, professional communication skills
