JOB SUMMARY
Uses knowledge of welding techniques to fabricate metal components and assemble structural forms.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Proficiently performsTIG & MIG
welds on (steel, stainless, aluminum); gauge 18 - 12. Grinds off excess weld, slag, or splatter using portable grinders. Carries out welding jobs by learning, reading and following job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Ensures equipment remains operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Must be dependable with strong time management skills. Ability to make adjustments to the welding machine for different materials and thickness. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned. This job description reflects the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Additional duties and responsibilities may be required, based upon business needs, at any time with or without notice.QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum two (2) year technical degree preferred; minimum 1-2 years welding related experience and/or training; equivalent experience may replace all or part of formal education. Requires basic welding aptitude.Other Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, simple drawings. Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, to express needs and ask questions.Reasoning Ability:
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.Computer Skills:
Knowledge of and familiarity in Microsoft office products and manufacturing software.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is occasionally required to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
