Job Title:
Welder (ENTRY LEVEL) Job Description This role focuses on TIG (GTAW) welding of stainless steel rails and related components in a heavy industrial environment. You will use your welding and blueprint interpretation skills to produce high-quality, structurally sound welds while meeting production schedules and adhering to safety standards.Shift:
Ability to work a 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday shift. Responsibilities Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel rails and related components to produce high-quality, structurally sound welds. Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions to understand job requirements and specifications. Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment as needed to complete assigned work accurately and efficiently. Inspect completed welds to verify quality, accuracy, and structural integrity, making adjustments or repairs when necessary. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in full compliance with safety guidelines and procedures. Follow established production schedules and consistently meet quality expectations and output targets. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues that may affect weld quality or production timelines. Handle stainless steel materials safely and correctly throughout the fabrication and welding process. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
