Job Title:
Welder Job Description This role involves performing MIG welding and fabrication tasks in a manufacturing environment, working with both aluminum and steel products. You will use hand and power tools, read and interpret tape measurements, and ensure all welds and fabricated components meet established quality and safety standards. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on aluminum and steel components according to specifications and drawings. Carry out fabrication tasks, including cutting, fitting, and assembling metal parts in a manufacturing environment. Use hand tools, power tools, and a tape measure accurately to complete welding and fabrication work. Inspect welds and fabricated parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards. Follow safety protocols and best practices for welding and fabrication in a manufacturing setting. Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly handle tools and equipment. Collaborate with team members to complete production tasks efficiently and on schedule. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG welding on aluminum and steel products. Experience with fabrication work in a manufacturing environment. Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools used in welding and fabrication. Ability to accurately use a tape measure and read basic measurements. Strong attention to detail to ensure weld quality and adherence to specifications. Commitment to following safety protocols in a manufacturing setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Any education, training, or certifications related to welding are a bonus. Formal welding coursework or technical school training is advantageous. Previous experience in a similar welding or fabrication role is beneficial. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a brand-new manufacturing facility that is non-climate controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. The position follows a second shift schedule from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, providing a consistent four-day workweek. You will work in a production setting that uses welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools, with a strong focus on safety and proper equipment handling. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liberty, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
