Welder Job Description This role focuses on performing high-quality MIG weld repairs on warehouse components that are not fully completed by robotic welding equipment. You will work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment, ensuring all parts meet strict quality standards while maintaining required output levels. Responsibilities Perform MIG repair welds on parts that were missed or not fully completed by robotic welders. Review and interpret blueprints to understand welding specifications and part requirements. Ensure all welded parts meet quality standards and are ready for use in warehouse and distribution center applications. Maintain production pace and consistently meet established output and performance targets. Inspect completed welds for accuracy, durability, and compliance with technical requirements. Load parts into machines when needed to support the welding and production process. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Communicate any defects, equipment issues, or production concerns to the appropriate team members. Complete and pass a weld test to demonstrate MIG welding proficiency. Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and maintain reliable attendance. Essential Skills Proven MIG welding experience with the ability to perform consistent, high-quality welds. Ability to pass a MIG weld test as part of the hiring process. Experience reading and interpreting blueprints to guide welding work. Capability to work in a production environment and keep up with required output numbers. Strong attention to detail to ensure all parts meet quality and specification standards. Reliable attendance and punctuality with the ability to adhere to scheduled shifts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with machine loading in a manufacturing or production setting is a plus. Familiarity with robotic welding processes and repair work on robot-welded parts is beneficial. Comfort working on large-scale projects for major distribution and warehouse operations. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a hands-on manufacturing role in a production facility focused on warehouse components. Multiple shift options are available to support different scheduling needs, second shift (Monday-Thursday, 5:00 p.m.-3:30 a.m.), weekend day shift (Friday-Sunday, 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.), and weekend night shift (Friday-Sunday, 6:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.). You will work around robotic welding equipment, MIG welding stations, and material handling machinery in an industrial environment that emphasizes safety, productivity, and quality Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Shelbyville, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
