Job Description
Job Title:
Welder Job Description This position primarily involves welding with .045 and 1/16-inch materials. Candidates should be comfortable with welding as well as performing fabrication tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have current or previous WABO certification, the ability to read blueprints, and be ready to start immediately. The role involves structural welding on heavy steel I-beams. Responsibilities Perform welding using .045 and 1/16-inch materials. Conduct fabrication tasks as required. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure welding meets standards. Execute structural welding on heavy steel I-beams. Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience with structural welding on heavy steel. Current or previous WABO certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Recent experience in welding. Open to candidates with current welding certifications, including recent graduates. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a small steel fabrication shop that specializes in projects ranging from residential handrails and custom tables to multi-million dollar steel structures. The facility is a new shop located in the former Gem Equipment building, offering a supportive and innovative environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodburn, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
