Summary:
The Welder I fabricates metal material by using appropriate welding techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Complies with all safety requirements for working in a hazardous environment.
Responsibilities:
Performs all job requirements according to procedures as outlined in the VOITH Quality Manual, Company Procedures, and Work Instructions. Reports problems to higher levels of authority as required by the Quality System. Confer with Engineers, production personnel, or others as needed to satisfactorily resolve quality problems. Preforms basic MIG and TIG welding techniques. Ability to work independently Operate overhead crane, tow motor and various hand tools. Required to grind as necessary. May be required to work 3rd shift.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in blueprint reading and should have mastered basic math skills. Able to work from pre-established guidelines such as routings to perform the functions of the job.
