Job Description

Position Title:
Welder Fitter Wage:
$25.00-$30.00/hour
Shift:
1st, 2nd
Hours:
6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-12:00am; Monday-Thursday We're seeking skilled and motivated Fitter Welders to join a growing team in Cudahy, WI. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, fitting and fabricating metal components, and performing high-quality welding to meet production and customer specifications. Welder Fitter Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders Fit, align, and assemble metal components according to specifications Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Flux Core welding as required Measure, mark, and verify dimensions to ensure accuracy Operate fabrication equipment, including grinders, saws, drills, and other shop tools Inspect completed welds and assemblies for quality and conformance to specifications Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all company safety policies and procedures Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Welder Fitter Requirements:
Previous experience as a Fitter Welder, Fabricator, or similar manufacturing role Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols Strong knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication processes Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, calipers, and levels Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods Preferred welding certifications are a plus Preferred experience working with structural steel, stainless steel, or aluminum Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
