Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to precise specifications and technical drawings. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements. Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, bending, and assembling sheet metal and other metal materials using plasma cutters, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment. Measure and inspect materials with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precision and adherence to specifications. Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot fabrication issues and optimize welding processes for quality and efficiency. Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols, handling equipment properly, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times. Collaborate with team members on construction site projects or fabrication shop tasks to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Requirements Proven experience in metal fabrication or welding within a manufacturing or construction environment. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Proficiency in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and measuring instruments accurately. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes and the use of calipers, micrometers, shop math, and other measuring devices. Construction site experience is preferred for roles involving on-site assembly or installation projects. Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication shop operations and safety protocols adherence. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and apply shop math effectively during fabrication tasks.
