• to join our growing metal fabrication team in Kiel, WI. We're hiring Welders with a solid welding foundation who take pride in their work and understand the importance of quality, accuracy, safety, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on MIG welding experience, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce quality work with limited supervision. Employees will also have the opportunity to learn thermal spray welding and other metal fabrication processes, allowing them to broaden their skill set and take on additional responsibilities. GMAW/MIG

welding using both spray-transfer and short-circuit transfer processes on carbon steel and sheet metal components in various positions. Set up and operate welding equipment according to job requirements, including selecting and adjusting wire, shielding gas, voltage, amperage, wire-feed speed, and other parameters. Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, work instructions, and production specifications to ensure accurate and consistent work. Use fixtures, jigs, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools to ensure proper fit, alignment, and dimensions. Inspect completed welds for quality, appearance, penetration, profile, and dimensional accuracy. Identify, troubleshoot, and correct common welding defects, including porosity, undercut, lack of fusion, excessive spatter, and improper penetration. Perform grinding, deburring, polishing, and other basic finishing operations as needed to meet quality and dimensional requirements. Monitor welding processes and make adjustments as necessary to maintain consistent weld quality and production standards. Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and promptly report equipment issues or maintenance needs. Use a computer to accurately record inspection results, production activities, and other required documentation. Meet established production schedules while maintaining required quality and safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and properly handle welding materials and equipment. Communicate production, quality, or equipment concerns to supervisors and team members. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Participate in required training and cross-training opportunities. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Minimum of 2 years of MIG welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience welding carbon steel and sheet metal. Ability to read and understand blueprints, weld symbols, work instructions, and production specifications. Ability to properly set up and adjust welding equipment based on material thickness, welding position, and job requirements. Ability to recognize proper weld appearance, penetration, profile, and overall quality. Ability to inspect your own work and identify and troubleshoot common welding defects. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and welding equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work safely around welding equipment, heat, fumes, and moving machinery. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Dependable attendance and willingness to support production needs. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment and communicate clearly with others. Must be willing to complete a hands-on welding skills assessment and all required pre-employment screenings. Employees are responsible for providing their own Steel-Toed shoes and welding helmet.
