GenMet is a Contract Metal Fabricator searching for an experienced Robotic Welder to join our incredible team to manufacture "COOL" products. We are looking for team members who enjoy meeting challenges and surpassing expectations and want a long-term, rewarding employment partnership. The ideal candidates will have a background in fabrication, Robotic Welding and MIG/TIG welding. Located at 10245 N Enterprise Dr, Mequon, WI 53092. Duties and responsibilities
Models and promotes a culture of honesty, integrity, teamwork, responsibility, adaptability and continuous learning and improvement with the highest ethics
Follow safety rules and expectations and use safe work practices.
Utilize and interpret blueprints/engineering drawings for setup, welding, and inspection of parts to ensure customer specifications are met.
Understand layout and planned sequence of operations. Verify conformance of work piece to specifications and quality standards.
Prepare surfaces to be welded and set up and assemble parts to be welded.
Set up proper equipment for different welding jobs.
Capable of passing AWS certification for MIG and/or TIG Welding for mild steel and aluminum. Able to use conventional and precision measuring instruments.
Operate and program Fanuc robot with a Fronius Welding Power Supply
Perform routine Preventative Maintenance on the equipment and maintain a safe and orderly workplace.
Support compliance with ISO9001, ITAR, OSHA and other applicable standards
Assist in Production and perform other duties as needed. Qualifications
High School Diploma or
GED, 2-3
years welding fabrication experience, 1-3 years Fanuc robot welding operation and programming experience desired, Fanuc power supplier experience preferred.
Must be able to be certified to
AWS D1.1
welding standard, at a minimum.
Must be able to setup and MIG weld (TIG a Plus) a variety of materials (mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel0 from blueprints
Math abilities to solve problems and perform inspection
Demonstrate uncompromising ethical behavior
Must be Safety and Quality conscious
Thrive in a fast paced, team centered environment.
Well organized and self-directed to complete tasks in a timely manner. Physical Requirements Must be able to safely and successfully perform the job functions
Must meet physical requirements for this position as follows: Stand or Sit, Move, Use hands/Fingers to handle or feel, stoop, kneel, talk/hear, see, carry weight/lift (up to 50 lbs)
