Schedule:

Monday-Thursday, four 10-hour days, 6:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Summary Set up, tack, weld, grind, and fit steel parts for long-handle specialty tools. Read prints and samples. Maintain a clean, safe work area. After hire, train on hand forging and upset work, and assist with keeping shop equipment in good working order. Small manufacturing shop with varied day-to-day work. Responsibilities

• Set up, tack, MIG and stick weld, grind, and fit production parts
• Cut, heat, and bend materials as directed
• Read blueprints, use a tape measure, and follow work orders
• Use hand and power tools; lift and position parts safely
• Clean welds and maintain the work area
• Learn forge, upset, and basic equipment upkeep as trained
• Maintain regular attendance on the 4×10 schedule and work required hours Requirements
• Hands-on shop welding experience (production or fabrication experience preferred over classroom-only)
• Ability to pass a hands-on weld test
• Willingness to work in a small shop where job mix varies Preferred qualifications
• Blueprint reading
• Mill, lathe, press, or millwright-type experience
• TIG or multi-process welding
• Forge or blacksmith experience (not required — training provided) Pay and benefits
