Job Overview Lakeshore Industrial is seeking a
CERTIFED MIG
welder to join our growing team. Welders will be responsible for all levels of production from start to finish, including operating a saw, shear, grinder/sander and following instructions to build our steel baskets. We are looking for hard workers, those that enjoy getting things done and seeing the satisfaction of a quality finished product. We don't believe in assembly line style production and that has allowed us to retain our talent for long periods, however employees must be willing and able to learn. Duties MIG weld carbon steel flat, vertically, and overhead. Use a grinder/sander to clean welds from spatter or deburr steel. Fabricate/assemble our baskets from start to finish. Operate a chop saw Be able to read a tape measure to the 1/16" Operate a shear. Operate a hand plasma cutter. Operate overhead cranes. Qualifications Must be certified as a MIG welder and capable of passing an in house weld test. Be capable of carrying heavy material, fitting into tight spaces, bending, and being on your feet for 8 hours. Must be willing to work with others and show up to work everyday with a positive attitude. Be willing to learn, you will be taught all aspects of the job over a period of time.
