  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Marine Service Technician to join our dynamic team dedicated to maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of marine vessels.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge marine equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. As a Marine Service Technician, you will be instrumental in diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and providing exceptional service to our clients. Your expertise will help keep vessels operating smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our marine operations. Duties Conduct comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on marine engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on various marine vessels, including rigging, sheet metal work, welding, soldering, and fabrication tasks. Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments to execute precise repairs and adjustments. Interpret schematics and technical drawings to assemble or disassemble mechanical and electrical systems accurately. Execute heavy lifting and rigging operations safely while adhering to all safety protocols. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for each vessel serviced or repaired. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering maintenance recommendations. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in marine or heavy equipment maintenance. Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and wiring techniques; experience with soldering is a plus. Mechanical knowledge including engine repair, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly skills. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures applicable to marine vessels or similar machinery. Experience working with hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various environmental conditions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Military experience related to mechanical or electrical maintenance is advantageous but not required. Additional preferred skills include experience with rigging, fabrication work, sheet metal work, welding techniques (including soldering), and familiarity with maintenance schedules for marine vessels or similar equipment.
