Market Team Member (Retail & Customer Service)

Majors Market - Richwood, TX Majors Market is hiring Market Team Members to support daily retail operations, customer service, and our food counter. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role, helping keep the market organized, stocked, and welcoming. We are a small, locally owned business focused on quality, integrity, and teamwork . Reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are essential for this position. Job Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service Operate the register and handle transactions accurately Stock, rotate, and organize products on shelves and in coolers Monitor product quality and report low stock or concerns Maintain cleanliness of customer areas, coolers, workspaces, and food prep areas Assist with opening, operating, and closing duties as assigned, including supporting the food counter (fried pies, boudin, etc.) Follow all workplace policies, safety standards, and procedures Qualifications Retail or customer service experience preferred, but not required Strong attendance and punctuality Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing light lifting Willingness to follow instructions and company policies Positive attitude and strong work ethic Comfortable assisting with the food counter and performing opening/closing procedures Schedule & Pay Hourly position Weekly pay Scheduling varies based on store needs and seasonality Weekend and holiday availability required Training All new hires complete a 21-day introductory period On-the-job training provided Work Environment Retail market setting Standing, walking, and multitasking required Clean, organized, customer-focused workplace
