POSITION OBJECTIVES
The Health Promotions Services Manager is responsible for the overall administration for Gateway's
HIV/AIDS
Program, including supervision of any personnel assigned to the program. The Health Promotions Services Manager is also responsible for all HIV and Hepatitis testing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Coordinate and implement client and staff
HIV/AIDS
education to ensure the agency exceeds state regulations. 2. Coordinate with the medical department, medical and psychiatric appointments, transportation and referrals for HIV and HCV infected persons. 3. Direct client counseling and support for persons living with HIV/AIDS and HCV. 4. Schedule psychiatric linkages for mental health assessments for persons living with
HIV/AIDS
as needed and appropriate. 5. Administer pre-test and post-test HIV, and other sexually transmitted disease, counseling designed to assist individuals in identifying their individual risk factors and methods of risk reduction. 6. Perform and direct HIV and HCV testing for all clients and others requesting testing. 7. Report HIV test results to the FDOH as required and maintain confidential information in accordance with city, state and federal laws and regulations. 8. Monitor, locate and assist in writing grants and grant renewals as needed. 9. Assure the accurate and timely completion and submission of all reports for funders, providers and referral sources. Network with other AIDS Service Organizations (ASOs) to facilitate community development awareness, prevention and intervention with persons at risk or already living with
HIV/AIDS. 10.
Develop and maintain a functional understanding of the Ryan White system of care; especially the
CAREWARE
software system through regular and effective utilization. Ensure that all data entered into the City of Jacksonville's CAREW are system is accurate and entered in a timely manner. 11. Ensures that programs and services exceed the performance goals and objectives established by Ryan White and
HOPWA. 12.
Maintains all records in a manner that conforms to state regulatory requirements at all times. 13. Other duties as assigned.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS 1.
Must be eligible through DCF and AHCA with Level II Background checks throughout employment. 2. Must abide by the organization's Code of Conduct, policy and procedures, and state certification code of ethics. 3. The ability to comply with equal employment opportunity requirements. 4. Must complete all in-person and Relias trainings assigned during probation and throughout employment. 5. Must practice universal precautions as part of regular job duties whenever applicable. 6. Maintain the work area clean and orderly, ensuring safe operating conditions. 9. Must have the ability to comply with a workplace of dignity and respect.
High School Diploma with a minimum of three years' experience in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment services. A minimum of two years' experience in the field of

Services. Florida Department of Health, 500/501 Certification. Rapid HIV Test Training and Certification. SKILLS Ability to communicate in English and to read and understand English at the 12th grade level or above. Ability to prioritize and intervene in matters needing immediate attention and consistently reports tasks pending and completed. Ability to work in a fast-pace environment. Strong organizational skills. Ability to relate to all levels of internal and external customers with poise, control and strong professionalism.
