JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Director Central Planning will be a key strategic leader responsible for overseeing Corporate Planning, Centralized Planning and Inventory Analytics, and Cross-Functional Process Improvement and Execution within our organization. This individual will be instrumental in driving data-driven insights to optimize business performance, improve planning and inventory strategies and execution, and ensure effective resource allocation across all levels of the company. The Sr. Director will collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to shape business strategies and deliver actionable insights to support our growth objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Corporate Planning & Strategy:
Lead corporate planning process, ensuring alignment between business objectives and financial goals. Develop and manage annual operating plans, long-term forecasts, and strategic initiatives. Provide leadership and guidance on strategic priorities to executive leadership and senior stakeholders. Ensure timely execution of financial performance reviews and forecasts, presenting key insights to leadership.
Centralized Planning & Inventory Process & Analytics:
Establish and manage a centralized analytics function, driving the creation and execution of reporting and dashboards across all business units. Develop and manage the clearance and promo process within merchandising, planning, and allocation. Support execution of end-to-end assortment lifecycle management. Support execution of inventory optimization strategy and turnover goals for the company Develop and drive process and timely execution of resets and key visual initiatives across the company
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams (including Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, and Operations) to align planning and analytics with broader company objectives. Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership on all strategic planning and inventory analytics-related matters. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that data-driven decision-making is embedded across the organization. Lead and develop a team of Planning and Analytics professionals
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in corporate planning, merchandise planning & inventory, analytics, or a related field, with a proven track record in retail or consumer goods. At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, managing cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives at the enterprise level. Strong expertise in corporate planning, financial forecasting, and business strategy. Extensive experience with data analytics and modeling, with proficiency in advanced analytics tools and systems (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.). Deep understanding of retail operations, pricing dynamics, and consumer behavior. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a high-performing team. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data-driven insights to senior leadership and non-technical audiences. Results-oriented, with a focus on driving business outcomes and performance improvement. Strategic thinker with a high level of business acumen. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to lead, collaborate, and influence across all levels of the organization. Passionate about using data and analytics to solve business challenges and drive operational excellence.
