The Community Engagement Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and volunteer support for Olive Crest's Community Engagement initiatives. Under the direction of the Community Engagement Director, the Coordinator supports efforts designed to strengthen community and church partnerships, engage and onboard volunteers, connect families with resources, and expand support for children and families. The ideal candidate will have two (2) years of administrative or related experience and is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while delivering professional customer service and supporting the mission of Olive Crest. This is a full time role (40 hours/week) with work hours 9:30am-6:00pm Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend support for department events.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide administrative, coordination, operational, and systems support to the Community Engagement Director, Community Engagement team, and Care Teams. Help maintain relationships and communication with churches, community partners, volunteers, donors, and other stakeholders. Coordinate calendars, meetings, presentations, communications, materials, and logistics for Community Engagement activities and initiatives. Support the planning and execution of community events, outreach opportunities, resource fairs, church presentations, Community Information Meetings, and special projects. Manage volunteer onboarding and compliance processes, including applications, background clearances, fingerprinting, required documentation, and follow-up. Maintain accurate volunteer, partnership, program, and engagement records across multiple databases and tracking systems. Communicate with prospective and active volunteers and ensure they have the information, materials, schedules, and support needed to participate successfully. Prepare presentations, newsletters, reports, correspondence, and other materials for churches, community partners, volunteers, donors, and events. Track and report on community engagement activities, volunteer participation, care supports, and other program outcomes. Provide administrative and coordination support to Olive Crest's Hosting Program, including assisting host families through onboarding and application processes. Welcome visitors and assist with Community Information Meetings designed to introduce individuals and groups to Olive Crest's mission and programs. Provide occasional support to Olive Crest's 24/7 helpline, community programs, and other agency needs as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
An associate degree required or bachelor's degree (preferred) from an accredited college or university. Minimum of two (2) years of progressive responsibility in administrative work, community engagement, volunteer leadership, or related mission-driven work. Bilingual, English/Spanish Speaking Must obtain and maintain record clearance free from criminal convictions. Obtain negative Mantoux PPD Test/chest x-ray not more than one year prior to commencing work and every three (3) years thereafter confirming employee is free of tuberculosis. Must have CPR and First Aid certification upon hire and maintained throughout employment. Must have and maintain a valid California Driver License, a clean driving record, and vehicle insurance throughout course of employment in accordance with Olive Crest's auto insurance policy. Able to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team. Demonstrates flexibility, dependability, professionalism, and strong communication skills (verbal and written). Exercise good judgment, maturity, and problem-solving ability in situations where limited guidelines exist and priorities are often shifting. Capable of interpreting and following written, verbal, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructions. Must be able to perform the essential physical functions of the position, including standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, reaching, and lifting or carrying up to 40lbs over medium distances (up to 500 feet). May spend significant time driving as part of regular duties. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and navigate various technology platforms, including Canva, Airtable, Microsoft OneDrive, and other database or communication systems. Must have a philosophy of support for abused children in line with values, mission and treatment philosophy of Olive Crest.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with, and willingness to collaborate with local faith communities and resources. Comfortable building relationships with culturally diverse families, churches, and communities. Previous recruiting, training, and mobilizing of volunteers.HEALTH BENEFITS 2
