Youth Engagement & Prevention Programs Lead Healthy Archuleta | Pagosa Springs, CO Part-time | Up to 20 hours/week | $26-$30/hour Healthy Archuleta is seeking a collaborative, organized, and community-centered Youth Engagement & Prevention Programs Lead to support a five-year initiative focused on strengthening youth well-being, reducing substance use risk factors, increasing protective factors, and building community capacity for prevention. This is a hands-on community position for someone who enjoys working directly with young people, building relationships, coordinating activities, and helping youth develop their voices and leadership skills. What You'll Do The Youth Engagement & Prevention Programs Lead will: Build relationships with youth, families, schools, and community organizations. Coordinate youth engagement, leadership, and prevention activities. Recruit, onboard, schedule, and support seasonal youth interns. Help youth interns develop leadership, communication, teamwork, and community engagement skills. Implement youth-focused prevention workshops, activities, outreach events, and educational opportunities. Support youth participation in Community Learning & Leadership Circles (CLLCs), coalition activities, community projects, and other leadership opportunities. Create opportunities for youth voice and shared decision-making. Conduct outreach through schools, community events, partner organizations, and community networks. Help engage rural, low-income, Latino/Hispanic, Indigenous, and historically underrepresented community members. Gather youth and community feedback and support participation tracking, surveys, documentation, and grant reporting. Collaborate with Healthy Archuleta staff and community partners to connect youth prevention with broader community well-being efforts. Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who brings strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills and who genuinely enjoys working with young people and community members. Applicants should have experience working with youth, families, schools, or community-based programs and be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team. Experience in youth development, education, prevention, public or behavioral health, recreation, mentoring, or community engagement is preferred. Experience coordinating youth activities, volunteers, internships, or community programs is also valuable. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are strongly preferred. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required. Schedule & Work Environment This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position of up to 20 hours per week. The position is based primarily at Healthy Archuleta's office in Pagosa Springs and includes work in schools and community settings throughout Archuleta County. Some activities occur outside regular business hours and some availability on evenings and weekends is required. Reliable transportation for local travel is required. Compensation $26-$30 per hour, based on experience.
