The Lifestyle Director is responsible for creating engaging, well-organized lifestyle programming that enhances the resident experience and builds a strong sense of community within a 55+ active-adult community.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and manage monthly and annual lifestyle calendars featuring social, wellness, educational, recreational, and community-building programs. Plan and execute events from concept through completion, including scheduling, registration, vendors, logistics, staffing, setup, breakdown, and follow-up. Monitor attendance, resident engagement, participation trends, and feedback to evaluate event success and guide future programming. Build positive relationships with residents, volunteers, Board and committee members, vendors, and onsite team members. Source and coordinate vendors, entertainers, instructors, and service providers; obtain proposals and monitor service delivery. Develop event budgets, track revenue and expenses, complete monthly event reconciliations, and support budget planning and forecasting. Draft and finalize newsletters, calendars, event communications, flyers, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and other community communications. Maintain accurate and timely information through the Association's official communication platforms. Work closely with the Lifestyle Committee, CAM, Board of Directors, and TRIAD Association Management to coordinate programs, events, priorities, and community initiatives. Coordinate Lifestyle Committee meetings, supporting materials, agendas, minutes, reports, and follow-up items. Recruit, coordinate, and support resident volunteers and encourage meaningful resident participation. Ensure programs and events comply with Association policies, approved budgets, safety requirements, insurance requirements, and established procedures. Coordinate with onsite and maintenance teams to ensure amenities and event spaces are prepared and operational. Maintain organized records for events, attendance, vendors, expenses, communications, and lifestyle operations. Effectively manage calendars, operational hours, deadlines, multiple priorities, and changing needs in a fast-paced community environment. Demonstrate a proactive, forward-thinking, organized, professional, and solution-oriented approach with strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
