Job Description

Kalamazoo College is seeking a recent graduate excited to deepen their experience in civic engagement and community‑based learning. As a full‑time Post‑Baccalaureate Fellow, you'll collaborate with CCE staff to strengthen student programs, support community partnerships, and help advance the College's commitment to inclusion and social justice. This is an approximately one‑year, benefits‑eligible position (fall 2026-2027) with the possibility of renewal. Preference is given to Kalamazoo College alumni. Apply via Indeed In this role, you will: Support data collection and assessment for civic engagement programs, including gathering quantitative and qualitative impact data. Help Civic Engagement Scholars plan and facilitate structured reflections for student participants. Attend student-led reflections and provide coaching and feedback. Create and update content for CCE social media, the website, and campus-wide communications. Maintain archives of photos, videos, interviews, and other storytelling materials. Assist with planning and facilitating CCE events, orientations, workshops, and community-engaged learning activities. Support course-based partnerships, field trips, and program logistics, including transportation coordination. Contribute to research on best practices in civic engagement and identify opportunities for program improvement. Participate in College committees and represent the CCE at Admissions, Advancement, and First-Year Experience events. You're a great fit if you have: Have hands-on experience with civic engagement programs, especially in leadership or peer‑facilitation roles. Communicate clearly and confidently—both in writing and in person. Enjoy working with diverse communities and are committed to building inclusive, justice‑oriented spaces. Are comfortable gathering, organizing, and interpreting data. Bring curiosity about social justice issues such as educational equity, youth empowerment, community organizing, or food justice. Are familiar with (or eager to learn) tools like Google Drive, Microsoft Office, WordPress, Canva, and Instagram. Thrive in fast‑paced, evolving environments and can adapt with flexibility and initiative. Value collaboration and enjoy working closely with students, staff, and community partners.
