Reporting to the Associate Director, Memberships, the Member Retention Manager supports the execution of campaigns and initiatives designed to drive member retention, upgrades, and engagement.This role sits at the intersection of membership marketing, fundraising, and stewardship, and plays a key role in implementing campaigns and ensuring a strong, consistent member experience. The Manager will collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality communications and support ongoing engagement efforts.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. They enjoy working with data to improve performance, testing and refining campaigns, and building relationships with supporters through thoughtful, well-executed outreach.
What you'll get to do here:
Membership Retention, Growth & StewardshipSupport the planning and execution of membership renewal, upgrade, and engagement initiatives across channels Assist in implementing annual retention and upgrade plans aligned with institutional priorities and programming Contribute to revenue and retention goals by executing data-informed campaigns and tracking performance Serve as a relationship manager for a portfolio of Friends of Lincoln Center, Patrons, Family, and NextGen members, building and maintaining meaningful connections Support in-person stewardship efforts, including attending member events, performances, and receptions to enhance engagement Help identify and cultivate members for upgrades and deeper engagement opportunities Partner with Individual Giving colleagues to support coordinated outreach and cultivation efforts Execute personalized outreach, including email, phone, and occasional one-to-one engagement Maintain accurate records of member interactions in CRM systems to support tracking and reporting Donor Communications & StewardshipDraft and support the development of member communications, including: Renewal and upgrade appeals for direct mail marketingEmail campaigns and newsletters Stewardship and impact communications Event-related messaging and acknowledgements Collaborate with internal teams to ensure communications are accurate and aligned with brand and messaging guidelines Partner with Marketing & Communications to support alignment with broader institutional campaignsProject CoordinationSupport campaign calendars, timelines, and cross-functional coordination Help manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the member experience Audience Insights & ReportingTrack campaign performance and assist in reporting on key metrics Analyze results to identify trends and opportunities for improvement Support audience segmentation and list management efforts You'll be a fit if you bring:
Bachelors degree required 24+ years of experience in membership program management, marketing, or related field Experience supporting campaigns across email, direct mail, or digital channels Very strong interpersonal skills, including phone and email correspondence and in-person interactions Familiarity with data analysis and segmentation Skilled writer and editor with strong attention to detail Experience with CRM and marketing platforms (e.g., Tessitura, Wordfly, or similar) preferred Proficiency in Canva and/or InDesign a plus Highly organized with strong project coordination skills Collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn Open to occasional night and weekend member nightPassion for the arts and commitment to Lincoln Centers missionWhat is Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts?
