Job Description

Executive Director Highland Park Golf Foundation Position Summary The Executive Director serves as the chief ambassador and fundraising leader of the Highland Park Golf Foundation. The primary responsibility is to build meaningful relationships that generate financial support, strategic partnerships, and community engagement to advance the Foundation's mission. This position focuses on cultivating donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, government agencies, golf industry leaders, and community stakeholders. Success is measured by dollars raised, relationships developed, and long-term sustainability of the Foundation. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and works closely with volunteers, committees, and community partners. Primary Responsibilities Fundraising & Development (50%) Develop and execute the Foundation's annual fundraising strategy. Secure major gifts from individuals. Cultivate corporate sponsorships. Build relationships with local businesses and national golf industry partners. Write or oversee grant proposals. Lead annual fundraising campaigns. Identify new revenue opportunities. Develop planned giving and legacy gift programs. Maintain an active donor pipeline. Community Outreach & Relationship Building (30%) Serve as the public face of the Foundation by developing relationships with: Corporate leaders Community organizations Local government officials Parks and recreation departments Schools and universities Troon and industry partners Media outlets Philanthropic organizations Strategic Leadership (10%) Work with the Board to establish strategic priorities. Develop annual fundraising goals. Monitor organizational performance. Build partnerships aligned with the Foundation's mission. Assist with long-term capital campaign planning. Marketing & Communications (10%) Tell the Foundation's story through compelling messaging. Oversee donor communications. Coordinate social media and public relations. Develop sponsorship materials. Prepare annual impact reports. Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree (preferred) 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising, business development, sales, or relationship management Proven success securing major gifts or sponsorships Exceptional networking and communication skills Experience working with boards of directors Strong public speaking ability CRM experience (such as Neon One, Salesforce, or Blackbaud) Passion for golf, parks, youth development, or community revitalization is preferred Ideal Characteristics The successful Executive Director is: A relationship builder first Comfortable asking for significant financial support Highly visible in the community Entrepreneurial and self-motivated Strategic thinker with strong execution skills Excellent communicator Passionate storyteller Results-driven and accountable
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
