Job Description
PR:
launch windows, review cycles, media events, field testing, trade shows, and the relationships that build long-term brand relevance. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who can own the day-to-day PR engine, bring smart ideas forward, and work closely with clients, strategists, coordinators, and internal teams to keep momentum moving. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day PR across outdoor and impact-driven brands Build meaningful relationships with outdoor, gear, trade, business, and impact media Pitch launches, founder stories, partnerships, events, and cultural moments Write sharp pitches, press materials, talking points, and client comms Serve as a trusted client lead and strategic partner Support PR strategy, campaign planning, and big-picture thinking Manage media calendars, launches, trade shows, and press opportunities Stay plugged into outdoor culture, sustainability, and industry trends Coordinate media events, interviews, press trips, and activations Turn coverage and insights into clear, actionable reporting Collaborate across creative, social, digital, and strategy teams Manage and mentor rising talent with clear direction and thoughtful feedback What You Bring Strong relationships across outdoor, gear, trade, and lifestyle media Deep understanding of outdoor culture, communities, trends, and the future of the industry A genuine connection to the outdoors and the people in it Resourceful, proactive, and always looking for smarter ways to improve the work Clear, thoughtful writer with strong instincts for storytelling and media relevance Able to turn products, founders, and brand missions into compelling stories and media angles Strong client management, organization, and follow-through Comfortable balancing big-picture strategy with hands-on execution Direct communicator with confidence presenting ideas and recommendations Collaborative mindset with a thoughtful approach to inclusive storytelling Familiar with PR reporting, media monitoring, AI, and workflow tools Experience with affiliate, influencer, or social strategy is a plus Benefits & Perks Salary range of $60,000 - $63,000 Remote or in-person role (Charleston, SC or Boulder, CO preferred) with hybrid office flexibility Competitive compensation + referral bonus opportunities Health, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage Retirement matching program Unlimited PTO (birthdays off, holidays, and Early Fridays) Flexible schedules and work-from-home support Paid maternity and paternity leave Professional development and growth opportunities Laptop and other technology associated with work Collaborative team culture with regular team connects Dog-friendly officesSimilar remote jobs
