Remote, with occasional on-site visits About the Role We are seeking a creative, organized, and self-motivated Social Media Manager to take ownership of the company's social media presence and help rebuild and grow our brand within the health and wellness industry. The role will be responsible for managing the company's social media accounts from strategy through execution, including content planning, creation, scheduling, publishing, community engagement, and performance reporting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, creating engaging short-form content, collaborating directly with executive leadership, and turning health and wellness topics into accessible, engaging social content. Key Responsibilities Own and manage the company's social media accounts and overall social media presence. Develop and maintain a social media content calendar aligned with company goals, brand standards, and marketing priorities. Create approximately 8-12 short-form videos and 4-8 carousel/static posts per month, along with ongoing Stories and other timely content. Concept, script, film, edit, and publish engaging social media content across relevant platforms. Develop educational and engaging content related to peptides, HRT/TRT, hormone health, wellness, longevity, and the company's services. Collaborate with executive leadership and appropriate subject-matter experts to identify content opportunities and ensure health-related information is accurately communicated. Travel to company locations as needed for content shoots, meetings, interviews, events, and other social media opportunities. Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and other audience interactions while escalating clinical, sensitive, or reputational matters when appropriate. Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and content formats to identify opportunities for growth and engagement. Maintain an organized content library and ensure published content is consistent with company messaging, brand standards, and applicable guidelines. KPIs / Performance Expectations 8-12 short-form videos produced and published per month. 4-8 carousel/static posts produced and published per month. Consistent, timely publication of Stories and other relevant social content. Growth in overall social media reach, engagement, audience, and brand awareness. Increasing engagement and performance of short-form video and other priority content. Consistent maintenance and activity across all company social media accounts. Monthly social media performance reporting, including key metrics, trends, and recommendations. Demonstrated improvement in content performance based on analytics and audience insights. Timely execution of the approved content calendar and company marketing priorities. Ability to identify and proactively develop new content opportunities rather than relying solely on assigned topics. Experience Demonstrated experience managing company, brand, agency, or client social media accounts from content planning through publication. Proven experience creating and editing short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and/or LinkedIn. Experience developing social media content calendars and executing content strategies. Experience creating engaging written, visual, and video content for social platforms. Experience working directly with business owners, executives, leadership teams, or other internal stakeholders. Experience with social media analytics, reporting, and using performance data to improve content. Experience with tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar content creation platforms. Experience in health, wellness, healthcare, fitness, aesthetics, longevity, functional medicine, hormone health, or a related industry is strongly preferred. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Strong understanding of major social media platforms and current content trends. Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail. Highly organized and able to independently manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and a content calendar. Creative, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership of the company's social media presence. Comfortable working remotely while traveling to company locations as needed. Ability to communicate health and wellness topics in an engaging, accurate, and responsible manner. Familiarity with health-related content guidelines and the importance of avoiding unsupported or misleading medical claims. Strong interpersonal skills and comfort collaborating with executive leadership and subject-matter experts. Ability to provide a portfolio, examples of previous work, or relevant social media accounts demonstrating content creation experience. Work Arrangement & Compensation Approximately 15-20 hours per week initially , with the expectation that hours may gradually increase as the company's social media presence, content needs, and overall business grow. Remote position with occasional travel to company locations as needed. Initial engagement as an independent contractor, with the intention of transitioning to W-2 employment as the company and position develop. Compensation commensurate with experience and scope of responsibilities.
