Job Summary Bartz-Altadonna Community Health Center (BACHC) is seeking a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Digital Communications & Website Coordinator to maintain BACHC's website and support the organization's ongoing communications with patients, employees, partners, and the community. This is a part-time position for someone who can take ownership of BACHC's digital presence and ensure that our website and communications consistently reflect what is currently happening throughout the organization.
Our expectation is simple:
If someone visits the BACHC website today, it should reflect who we are today—not who we were six months ago. The coordinator will work closely with BACHC leadership and departments to identify updates, gather information, and ensure that website content, events, news, and the monthly newsletter remain accurate, timely, professional, and accessible. Responsibilities Maintain and regularly update the BACHC website. Keep leadership, Board, provider, staff, location, service, program, hours, and contact information current. Add new providers, programs, locations, and services as they are introduced. Promptly remove or revise outdated information. Maintain and update the website's events calendar. Post BACHC announcements, organizational news, community activities, outreach events, awards, accomplishments, and other approved content. Regularly review the website for broken links, outdated pages, expired events, incorrect information, and other needed corrections. Coordinate with appropriate departments to verify information before publication. Maintain an organized archive of website content, photos, graphics, and communications materials. Help ensure that the BACHC website and digital content remain consistent with applicable ADA digital accessibility requirements and current WCAG standards. Routinely review website content for accessibility issues. Ensure appropriate use of image alternative text, headings, hyperlinks, readable formatting, color contrast, captions, and other accessibility practices. Review documents and PDFs posted to the website for accessibility. Use appropriate accessibility testing tools to periodically identify potential issues. Coordinate with BACHC's website vendor or IT team when technical accessibility corrections are required. Maintain documentation of accessibility reviews and corrections. Experience Experience maintaining and updating an organizational website using WordPress or a similar content management system. Experience producing newsletters or digital communications. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Experience with Canva, Adobe, or similar graphic design tools. Working knowledge of digital accessibility, ADA website accessibility, and WCAG standards. Ability to learn and use website accessibility testing tools. Basic understanding of website analytics. Strong organizational and project-management skills. Ability to independently identify needed updates and follow through to completion.
