Position Title:
Development & Communications Associate About Us:
The Chatham Conservation Foundation (CCF) is Cape Cod's oldest land trust, dedicated to preserving open space for the benefit of people, plants, animals, and the natural systems that sustain us all. We protect 800 acres of land and offer education, outreach, and stewardship programs to the community.
Position Overview:
CCF seeks a Development & Communications Associate to support donor engagement, fundraising events, communications, and outreach. This staff will play an essential role in strengthening donor relationships, coordinating community events, and maintaining a consistent and professional presence across our digital platforms. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for conservation. This is a full-time position which requires frequent weekend work, must be within reasonable commuting distance as activities are on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Donor Development & Events o Assist in planning, organizing, and executing donor cultivation and fundraising events.
o Manage event logistics, including invitations, venue coordination, materials, and follow-up. o Attend and staff all events, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience for participants. o Track event attendance and donor engagement, ensuring timely thank-you letters and acknowledgments.
  • Communications & Outreach o Manage updates to the CCF website (Wix), Tockify calendar, and social media platforms. o Draft, schedule, and post engaging content to highlight CCF's programs, events, and conservation work. o Maintain and distribute email communications and newsletters. o Support outreach and education initiatives to expand community awareness of CCF's mission.
  • Administration & Support o Maintain the organizational calendar of events, tasks, and timelines. o Track donations, pledges, and event income, and assist with data entry into donor management systems. o Provide research and support grant writing and tracking. o Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and the Board to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Business and Corporate Sponsorships o Develop and manage corporate sponsorship packages to support programming and events, serving as the main point of contact for sponsors and ensuring timey delivery of benefits
Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and website content management (Wix preferred).
  • Experience with event planning and management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
  • Comfort with donor interaction and community engagement.
  • Passion for land conservation and environmental stewardship is a plus.
Position Details:
  • Full-time salaried position (4 day work week~30-35 hours/week, with flexibility).
  • Attend all events, evening and weekend availability required.
  • Compensation commensurate with experience.
