2 Positions About the Role Maybridge Development LLC is preparing to provide program and project management services to the USDA Forest Service in support of Hurricane Helene recovery efforts across the National Forests in North Carolina. We are hiring Communications Specialists who want to do meaningful work that leaves a lasting impact. In this role, you'll serve as a communications and coordination point of contact for the National Forests in North Carolina districts, keeping recovery projects moving by facilitating clear, timely communication among USDA Forest Service staff, districts, leadership, and partners. Working alongside USDA Forest Service personnel, contractors, and partner agencies, you'll prepare internal and external communication products, support project coordination and reporting, and help share the story of the recovery effort with the communities it serves. As a Federal Disaster Recovery Communications Specialist, you'll facilitate communication, prepare briefing and reporting materials, and support meeting planning to ensure recovery information flows clearly, accurately, and on time. Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a district point of contact and support project management with intake forms, trackers, and accomplishment reporting.
• Prepare internal communication materials, including all-employee call content, reports, briefing papers, VIP/visitor packages, and website information.
• Prepare external communication materials for partners, VIPs, and the public for USFS review, approval, and release.
• Support meeting planning and facilitation; track, synthesize, and route recovery communications and information requests.
• Coordinate with USDA Forest Service staff, district personnel, partner agencies, and leadership to support successful project delivery. Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in communications, public affairs, or project coordination.
• Experience building internal and external communication materials and supporting project management trackers and reporting.
• Strong writing, editing, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
• U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Tier 1 or Tier 2 Background Investigation.
• Ability to attend meetings in Asheville and travel throughout Western North Carolina as needed. Preferred Qualifications
• Project management or strategic-communications training or certification.
• Experience supporting the USDA Forest Service or another federal land management agency.
• Familiarity with USDA Forest Service communication protocols and branding.
• Experience with disaster recovery programs or other federally funded recovery initiatives.
• Residency in Western North Carolina is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits Salary:

$55,000-$60,000 , based on experience, with the top of the range reserved for candidates with federal-agency experience. Placement within the salary range will be based on qualifications and demonstrated success in communications and project coordination. Business mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate under an accountable plan. Commuting between home and the regular work location is not reimbursable.
