With a dual focus on mission-driven storytelling and revenue growth support, this position ensures brand consistency across all platforms, drives engagement for fundraising initiatives, and increases visibility for our retail operations (Thrift Store). This role requires a blend of creative storytelling, data-driven digital strategy, and proactive brand management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1.
Strategic Storytelling & Impact Reporting Success Story Development:
Conduct regular interviews with clients, staff, and volunteers to capture compelling "human-interest" narratives.
Multi-Channel Content:
Adapt these stories for diverse formats, including annual reports, donor appeals, quarterly newsletters, and video scripts.
Media Relations:
Draft professional press releases and build/maintain relationships with Berks and Montgomery County media outlets to ensure consistent coverage of agency impact. 2. Digital Strategy & Revenue Support Retail Marketing (Thrift Operations): Develop and implement targeted campaigns to drive foot traffic and donations for Opportunity House retail locations.
Social Media Management:
Lead the strategy for all social platforms, focusing on community growth, donor engagement, and mission awareness.
Email Marketing:
Design and deploy segmented email campaigns (Mailchimp/Constant Contact) for fundraising events, volunteer recruitment, and agency updates.
Website Oversight:
Manage website content updates, ensuring SEO optimization and high-quality user experience for donors and service-seekers. 3.
Brand Stewardship & Production Brand Authority:
Serve as the internal "Brand Ambassador," ensuring all departments adhere to established visual and messaging standards (logos, fonts, tone).
Collateral Design:
Utilize tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and event signage.
Vendor Coordination:
Manage relationships with external printers, photographers, and graphic designers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. 4.
Internal & Community Engagement Employee Communications:
Produce the internal newsletter to keep staff across multiple locations (2nd St, Patton Ave, etc.) engaged with organizational goals.
Event Support:
Provide marketing leadership for signature events (e.g., Teddy Bear Trot, Wine Tasting) to maximize attendance and sponsorship visibility.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field required.
Experience:
3-5 years of progressive experience in marketing or communications. Previous experience in a non-profit or mission-driven environment is highly preferred.
Technical Proficiency:
Advanced skill in Social Media Management and Analytics. Proficiency in Email Marketing platforms and CRM integration.○ Intermediate to advanced design skills (Canva/Adobe). Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel for data tracking, PowerPoint for presentations.
