Job Description

Job Summary :
The Content Creator and Communications Coordinator plays a key role in implementing and coordinating Problem Gambling Network of Ohio's communications strategies across digital platforms. This position manages PGNO's online presence, develops engaging content, and supports communication campaigns that promote our programs, initiatives, and mission throughout Ohio. We're looking for a highly organized, creative, and collaborative professional with strong writing skills, digital communications experience, and a passion for making a positive impact in our communities.
Responsibilities :
Improve our video content. Assist in planning, filming, and editing videos that anchor PGNO's educational and awareness campaigns — from short social clips and event recaps to multi-part educational series. Assist in the full production process, including scripting, capturing footage, editing, adding graphics and captions, and publishing across platforms. Build a consistent, recognizable visual style and keep a steady pipeline of content moving. Manage our digital presence. Maintain PGNO's websites and social media platforms, plan content calendars, schedule and monitor posts, and respond to engagement. Build and send email campaigns, from newsletters to announcements. Track website, social, video, and email metrics and use them to sharpen what comes next. Create new content. Assist in writing, proofreading, and editing copy for the website, newsletters, social media, and promotional materials, and produce supporting graphics and infographics. Keep our branding and messaging consistent everywhere it appears. Coordinate campaigns, program needs, and outreach. Help plan and execute communications campaigns that promote PGNO programs and services. Keep project timelines on track, collaborate with staff and partners on materials, and work with vendors on printing, media production, and digital services. Promote our events. Market PGNO events, trainings, and webinars across our digital channels, coordinate visibility with statewide and regional partners, and track engagement. Keep things running. Maintain organized content files and archives, draft correspondence to partners and community members, and provide general communications support.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field preferred (Associate degree with relevant experience considered) 2-4 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, digital media, or public relations, preferably in a nonprofit, public health, or community-based organization Experience managing websites, social media platforms, and email marketing tools Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across digital platforms Experience using social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram Familiarity with website content management systems preferred Experience with email marketing platforms Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and across departments Proficiency in graphic design and/or multimedia tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite Passion for the mission and values of a nonprofit organization Ability to travel within the state when necessary
