Cuevas, Jr., Inc. is seeking a creative, outgoing, and highly motivated Social Media Manager & Content Creator to develop and manage the firm's online presence. We are not looking for someone to simply post generic legal graphics or advertisements. We want someone who understands what makes people stop scrolling, knows how to create engaging short-form content, follows current social media trends, and can help make a local law firm feel approachable, memorable, and recognizable online. Our goal is to create content that allows people in our community to get to know our attorneys and staff, learn something useful, and remember our firm when they or someone they know needs legal help. This is a hands-on creative role. The person hired will have the opportunity to pitch ideas, develop recurring content series, film attorneys and staff, experiment with trends and formats, and help shape the personality of the firm's online brand. What You'll Do You will take ownership of the firm's day-to-day social media presence and content creation, including: Manage the firm's presence on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and other relevant social platforms Develop and maintain a consistent social media content calendar Create, film, edit, and publish short-form videos, TikToks, Reels, Stories, photos, graphics, and other digital content Work directly with attorneys and staff to create engaging content Direct attorneys and staff on camera to help produce natural, entertaining, and informative videos Turn legal and financial topics into simple, interesting, consumer-friendly content Develop recurring content series, FAQs, myth-vs.-fact videos, attorney Q&As, reactions, behind-the-scenes content, and other creative concepts Identify current social media trends, sounds, formats, topics, and memes that can appropriately be adapted to the firm's brand Write engaging hooks, captions, headlines, and calls-to-action Maintain a consistent brand voice and personality across platforms Manage posting schedules and day-to-day account activity Monitor comments, engagement, audience feedback, and social media inquiries Assist with the development and management of paid advertising campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other appropriate platforms Monitor content and advertising performance to identify what is working and where improvements can be made Track metrics including views, reach, engagement, follower growth, website traffic, inquiries, and leads Provide periodic reports on social media growth and campaign performance Photograph and film attorneys, staff, office activities, community events, and other appropriate content Stay current on social media trends and proactively bring new ideas to the firm Help develop the firm's overall digital brand and online personality Occasionally travel to the firm's San Bernardino office to film, photograph, and create content with attorneys and staff at that location Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is creative, outgoing, energetic, personable, and genuinely understands social media.
The ideal candidate:
Understands TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and short-form social media Knows what makes someone stop scrolling and watch Can independently take an idea from concept to finished post Is comfortable filming, editing, and producing quality short-form video Is comfortable approaching, directing, and filming attorneys and staff Understands hooks, storytelling, pacing, captions, trends, and calls-to-action Regularly follows social media trends and understands current internet culture Can bring original ideas to the table without needing to be told what to post every day Has strong written and verbal communication skills Is organized and capable of maintaining a consistent content schedule Can balance creativity, humor, and personality with the professionalism expected of a law firm Is comfortable reviewing analytics and using performance data to improve future content Is reliable and able to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and staff Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Ads Manager, Google Analytics, or similar platforms is preferred. Experience managing paid social media advertising is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish ability is a strong plus. Prior law firm experience is not required. Strong content instincts, creativity, reliability, personality, and demonstrated social media ability are more important. Work Location & Travel This is a full-time, in-person position primarily based at our Montebello office, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is not a remote social media position. The Social Media Manager will regularly work with attorneys and staff in person to film and produce content. The firm also maintains an office in San Bernardino, California. The Social Media Manager may be required to travel to the San Bernardino office from time to time during the workday for filming, photography, content creation, or other marketing needs. Candidates must be able to reliably travel between office locations when required. The firm will provide access to the equipment, accounts, and software necessary to create and manage firm content.
