Rapid Response Content Manager Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee - 5.0 Washington, DC Job Details $85,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Commuter assistance Paid parental leave AD&D insurance Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Paid time off Parental leave Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Cross-functional collaboration Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Rapid Response Content Manager The DSCC is seeking a Rapid Response Content Manager to help run the DSCC social media accounts including (but not limited to) TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and X. This position will help craft and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to amplify Senate Democrats' messaging priorities across the country. This role requires working closely with other departments, attention to detail, and being extremely organized. This is not always a 9-6, M-F job and will require work outside of normal business hours. This position is based in Washington, DC. This position is expected to regularly come into the DSCC office on Capitol Hill and may occasionally require travel throughout the cycle and travel to a battleground state for GOTV efforts ahead of Election Day. What You'll Do Help manage the DSCC social media platforms and handles, including drafting, calendaring, and posting content Help develop and shape the committee's online presence and messaging across social media platforms, prioritizing rapid response Monitor the news and developments from Senate campaigns and the Senate floor, when applicable, in realtime Work closely with the creative team to request and develop content for DSCC-owned channels Help run the internal approvals process on social media content Strategize and implement ways to increase engagement on social media platforms Report out social media analytics and present insights to stakeholders About You At least one cycle of work experience on an electoral or issue-based campaign doing content creation in some capacity - political campaign experience is highly preferred, but not required Strong writing and proofreading skills Ability to write quality rapid response content with tight turnarounds Familiarity with major social media platforms — Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, etc. Excited about new digital trends Highly organized and able to manage multiple social media channels simultaneously Enjoy keeping up with the news cycle Able to exercise discretion Committed to a no drama work environment Familiarity with social media analytics tools is a plus This position is based in DC. This position is expected to work out of the DSCC office located on Capitol Hill. The salary for this position is $85,000 annually.
