Job Description

The White Room | Historic Downtown St. Augustine, FL $20-$24/hour | Approximately 32-40 hours/week Full-Time / Flexible Schedule | Weekend & Evening Availability Required Love weddings, social media and creating content? The White Room is looking for a creative, energetic and highly organized Social Media & Content Coordinator to capture and share the incredible weddings, events and experiences happening at our waterfront venues in historic downtown St. Augustine. This is not a traditional desk-only social media position. One day you may be creating and scheduling content in our office; another evening you may be capturing a waterfront ceremony, room transformation, signature cocktails, beautiful food, first dances and a packed dance floor for Instagram Stories, Reels and TikTok. Social media and content creation are the primary responsibilities of this position. During lighter event weeks, this position will also provide administrative and client-service support to our Catering Sales team. About The White Room The White Room is a distinguished waterfront private event venue in the heart of historic downtown St. Augustine. We specialize in weddings, social celebrations and corporate events and are known for beautiful spaces, exceptional food and beverage, attention to detail and outstanding customer service. We're looking for someone who can help us tell that story visually—and make future couples want to experience The White Room for themselves. Social Media & Content Responsibilities The primary focus of this position will be creating, organizing and managing engaging content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest and other relevant platforms.
Responsibilities include:
Attend approximately 1-3 weddings and special events per week, depending on our event schedule. Provide approximately 6-8 hours of on-site social-media/content coverage per event. Capture engaging photo and vertical video content throughout weddings and events. Create real-time Instagram Stories during events. Capture enough quality content at each event to create future Reels, TikToks and scheduled posts. Create and edit Instagram Reels, TikToks, Stories and short-form video. Develop creative concepts, hooks, captions and storytelling ideas. Create and maintain a weekly and monthly social-media content calendar. Schedule content consistently throughout the week. Showcase ceremonies, décor, florals, room transformations, food, cocktails, entertainment and memorable guest experiences. Repurpose strong event content across multiple platforms. Collect professional wedding galleries and video from photographers and videographers. Maintain an organized digital photo and video library. Properly tag and credit photographers, planners, florists, entertainment and other wedding vendors. Build positive social-media relationships with our wedding-industry partners. Monitor comments, messages and engagement across social channels. Assist management with online review responses. Monitor content performance and identify which content generates the strongest engagement, reach and inquiries. Stay current on wedding, hospitality, food & beverage, Instagram and TikTok trends. Proactively bring new content ideas to the team. Research appropriate influencers, bloggers and potential collaborations. Assist with influencer visits, styled shoots, open houses, charity events and special promotions. Create content supporting new menus, cocktails and other food & beverage initiatives. Assist with website, blog and company-announcement content as needed. Catering Sales & Office Support Our event schedule changes from week to week. Some weeks may include three weddings or events requiring significant content coverage, while other weeks may include only one. During lighter event weeks and available weekday office hours, this position will assist our Catering Sales team with responsibilities such as: Answering incoming telephone calls. Responding to or routing new event inquiries. Sending initial wedding and event information to prospective clients. Assisting with appointment and venue-tour scheduling. Entering and updating client information. Helping maintain organized event and inquiry files. Providing general administrative support to the Catering Sales team. Assisting with special projects, open houses and promotional events. This position is not responsible for carrying a primary Catering Sales workload. Social media and content creation remain the primary focus of the role. Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Creative and naturally interested in social media. Passionate about weddings, hospitality, food & beverage and special events. Someone who sees a beautiful wedding moment and immediately recognizes how to turn it into compelling content. Comfortable shooting high-quality vertical video with a smartphone. Experienced with Instagram Stories, Reels and TikTok. Able to edit engaging short-form video efficiently. Familiar with trending audio, hooks, transitions and social-media storytelling. A strong writer who can create engaging, polished captions. Visually oriented with a strong sense of style and composition. Positive, personable and comfortable interacting with couples, guests and wedding vendors. Extremely organized and detail-oriented. Self-motivated and capable of working independently. Dependable and comfortable working evenings and weekends. Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Professional and able to exercise good judgment when representing The White Room publicly.
