About the gig We run two businesses a block apart in

Newton Centre:

Baramor, a dog-friendly gastropub at 45 Union St, and Oak n' Barrel, a wine & spirits shop at 1255 Centre St. We also run the social account for Lavelle (@_ladylavelle), our resident brand ambassador and the dog who is arguably more famous than either business — you'll be collaborating with her on a lot of the content. We're looking for someone to make the content — Reels, mostly — and to help us run events worth making content about. You're not managing a spreadsheet or pulling reports. We've automated the research and the tracking.

Your job is the creative:

know what's trending, turn it into something that looks like us, and make people want to come in. What you'd actually do Concept and shoot short-form video — Reels and TikToks built on current trends, formats, and audio, adapted to our brands Edit fast and post consistently across Instagram and TikTok for three accounts Collaborate with @_ladylavelle, our resident brand ambassador, on content for both businesses Bring us event ideas worth running — what's working at other spots, what our crowd would show up for — and help host the ones we green-light Be at our events. Tastings, live music on the patio, Barktoberfest. You're there shooting it and helping it run Be on camera when it works, or find the people who should be What this job is not No analytics reports, no content calendars to maintain, no ad account admin No cold outreach or vendor coordination What we're looking for You make good short-form content and can show us. Enrolled, graduated, or neither — the work is what matters Genuinely plugged into what's trending, not looking it up after the fact Comfortable shooting and editing on a phone (CapCut, Lightroom Mobile, whatever works) You know the difference between a Reel that gets views and one that fills seats Reliable — you post when you said you'd post, and you show up when you said you would Can get to Newton Centre for shoots and events (we're minutes from Chestnut Hill and easy to reach from most of the Boston schools) Comfortable around dogs (non-negotiable, honestly) 21+ is a plus for the Oak n' Barrel side but not required Hours and schedule 5-10 hrs/week at $18-$20/hr, depending on experience Editing and posting is remote and flexible — do it whenever and wherever it works for you In-person shoots are flexible too. We'll find days that fit your schedule Events are the fixed part.
