Content Management Specialist STATUS:

REPORTS TO
ExecutiveDirector Position Summary This position supports the ILH staff and subject-matter experts in the creation, maintenance, and marketing of legal help content available for use by attorneys, legal aid organizations, and self-represented litigants on the Indiana Legal Help website and other internet-based platforms. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Identifying, creating, updating, and maintaining self-help court forms and resources including: o Coordinating activities of ILH team to review and maintain forms and other content on the Indiana Legal Help website.
o Tracking form maintenance progress. o Defining plain language and usability standards for forms and resources. o Updating forms based on plain language and usability standards and applying Adobe fillable features to forms. o Overseeing file storage in an online document repository (such as SharePoint) and WordPress.
  • Generating and updating content on the Indiana Legal Help website, using plain language and usability standards.
  • Participating in help desk operations and developing help desk content.
  • Creating weekly social media content for the Indiana Legal Help Facebook page and promotional flyers and other materials for Indiana Legal Help programs following required internal and external approval processes.
  • Overseeing entry of clinic information by legal aid organizations on the Indiana Legal Help website calendar of events; auditing entries as necessary and ensuring organizations follow agreed upon processes to maintain event listings in WordPress.
  • Coordinating the annual review of legal aid organizations' contact information on the Indiana Legal Help website and making updates to contact information as requested.
Qualifications Education :
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, digital media, or related field preferred
  • OR equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
Experience :
  • 3+ years of experience in content management, web publishing, digital marketing, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience managing content in WordPress
  • Demonstrated experience managing and creating fillable forms in Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience working with subject matter experts or technical content contributors
  • Proven track record managing multiple content projects simultaneously
Technical Skills :
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and ability to ensure content compliance
  • Experience with Google Analytics or similar analytics platforms
  • Proficiency with plain language principles and readability
Competencies :
  • Excellent attention to detail - ability to implement content faithfully without introducing errors
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable asking clarifying questions and escalating issues appropriately
  • Willing to become comfortable with basic
HTML/CSS
for content formatting (not full development, but editing)
Preferred Qualifications :
  • Experience in legal services, government, healthcare, or other mission-driven/regulated sectors where content accuracy is critical
  • Familiarity with document assembly systems or form management
  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion optimization
  • Background coordinating editorial calendars and content workflows with multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of digital marketing campaigns
  • Experience with accessibility auditing
Work Sample/Portfolio :
    Required:
    Portfolio or work samples demonstrating web content you've created, optimized, or managed
      Preferred:
      Examples showing before/after content improvements, SEO results, or accessibility enhancements
      Pay:
      $60,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year
