SVP, Brand & Community Impact Salary Range:
$80,000-$90,000 About Planet Harvest Planet Harvest is a mission-driven company working to maximize the value of the whole harvest. We partner with growers, food companies, corporations, and community organizations to create innovative solutions that reduce food waste, strengthen the food system and expand access to fresh food. Our work spans fresh food sourcing, whole harvest innovation, corporate partnerships, and community impact programs across the country. The Opportunity Planet Harvest is seeking a Social Media & Content Marketing Manager to lead the day-to-day development and execution of our social media and content strategy. This is a hands-on role for a strong storyteller and content creator who can turn the work happening across Planet Harvest, from farms and food innovation to corporate partnerships and community impact, into compelling content that builds awareness, engagement and brand visibility. The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking with a willingness to execute. This person will own the content calendar, manage Planet Harvest's social channels, create and capture content, support partner amplification, and help build a consistent and differentiated Planet Harvest brand presence. This role reports to the SVP, Brand & Community Impact and will work closely across the organization and with external partners. What You'll Do Own Social Media & Content Develop and manage Planet Harvest's social media and content strategy, with an initial focus on LinkedIn and Instagram. Own the editorial calendar, including planning, creating, scheduling and publishing content. Write compelling social copy and develop content across video, photography, graphics and other formats. Manage day-to-day community engagement and identify opportunities to grow Planet Harvest's audience and visibility. Stay current on social trends, platform changes and emerging content formats. Bring the Planet Harvest Story to Life Identify and develop stories across Planet Harvest's work in agriculture, food, innovation, partnerships and community impact. Interview farmers, partners, employees and community organizations to uncover authentic stories and perspectives. Translate complex or behind-the-scenes work into accessible, engaging content. Develop stories that demonstrate Planet Harvest's impact and reinforce the company's broader brand positioning. Build and maintain a strong library of photo, video and storytelling assets. Capture Content in the Field Develop content plans for key Planet Harvest events, farm visits, food distributions and partner activations. Attend select activations and events to personally capture photo, video and social content. Create timely, engaging content from the field while identifying opportunities for longer-form and evergreen storytelling. Support Marketing & Partnerships Develop content that supports brand awareness, customer acquisition and strategic partnerships. Create social and communications toolkits that make it easy for corporate and community partners to amplify Planet Harvest initiatives. Identify opportunities for collaborative content, partner posts and executive amplification. Work closely with internal teams to ensure content supports company priorities and key initiatives. Measure & Optimize Track social media and content performance and establish regular reporting. Monitor audience growth, reach, engagement and content performance. Use data and insights to continuously improve content strategy and execution. Identify which stories, channels and formats are most effective in building awareness and engagement. What We're Looking For 4-7 years of experience in social media, content marketing, brand marketing, communications or a related field. Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills. Demonstrated experience managing brand social media channels, particularly LinkedIn and Instagram. Experience creating short-form video, photography and visual social content. Ability to personally take content from idea through execution—from identifying the story and capturing assets to writing, publishing and measuring performance. Strong creative instincts and an understanding of what makes content engaging and shareable. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, partners and deadlines. Self-starter who can independently identify opportunities and move work forward. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Collaborative and comfortable working with a range of stakeholders, from farmers and nonprofit partners to corporate executives. Willingness to travel periodically for events, activations, farm visits and content capture. Nice to Have Experience in food, agriculture, sustainability, health and wellness, corporate social impact or purpose-driven brands is a plus, as is experience with executive thought leadership, partner collaborations, PR, graphic design, photography or video editing. Who You Are You are a storyteller and a doer. You see the story before someone has to ask you to tell it. You are as comfortable developing a content strategy as you are capturing an iPhone video at an event, writing the caption and getting it published. You are curious, creative and highly organized. You know how to take a big idea and turn it into content people actually want to engage with. You enjoy working across teams and with external partners, but you don't need a large team or agency to make things happen. Most importantly, you are excited by the opportunity to help build the voice and visibility of a growing company working at the intersection of food, agriculture, innovation and community impact.
