Five Brothers Appliance is looking for a creative, energetic, and social-media-savvy person to join our team in Austin, TX. This is a part-time position that is ideal for a college student or recent graduate who understands social media, enjoys creating content, follows current trends, and wants the opportunity to grow with a fast-growing local business. This is not just a basic posting position. We are looking for someone who can help build our brand and increase our local presence across social media. The right person will have the opportunity to grow into a full-time position and potentially take on a future leadership role as our Digital Director based on performance and growth. What You'll Be Doing You will help manage our social media presence across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other relevant channels. A major part of the position will be creating content inside and around our appliance store. This includes filming short-form videos, Reels, TikToks, product videos, promotional content, customer-focused content, local Austin content, behind-the-scenes videos, and creative concepts designed to generate attention and engagement. You will help plan content, develop ideas and hooks, follow social media trends, post consistently, engage with our audience, monitor content performance, and identify what types of videos are generating the most views and engagement. You will also work directly with the owner and our marketing team to develop new creative ideas for both organic social media and paid advertising. Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is naturally creative, motivated, outgoing, and understands what makes people stop scrolling. You should be comfortable filming content with a phone, creating short-form videos, understanding trends, and working in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, CapCut, Canva, or similar content-creation tools is strongly preferred. We especially want to hear from applicants who have already created content that has generated significant views or engagement. If you have videos that have reached 10K, 50K, 100K+ views or more, we definitely want to see them. You do not need years of corporate marketing experience. We care more about creativity, motivation, understanding social media, proven content ability, and your willingness to learn and grow. Schedule Part-time to start, with flexibility around a college schedule. There is a strong opportunity to increase hours and transition into a full-time position based on performance. Growth Opportunity We want someone who is interested in growing with the company rather than simply looking for a temporary social media job. As our digital presence grows, this position can develop into a larger marketing and leadership role, including the opportunity to become Digital Director and take greater responsibility for our overall social media and digital content strategy.
