Oakley Standard Issue is seeking a Senior eCommerce Merchandiser to own the digital merchandising strategy and execution across the OSI eCommerce experience.

This role focuses on improving product discovery, assortment presentation, site merchandising, conversion, and the overall digital shopping experience. The ideal candidate combines strong eCommerce merchandising experience with analytical thinking and hands-on execution.

The Senior eCommerce Merchandiser will determine how customers Client products, how products are presented, and how the digital experience supports business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

eCommerce Merchandising

Develop and execute onsite merchandising strategies across categories, collections, PLPs, PDPs, search, navigation, and promotional experiences.

Determine product prioritization, sequencing, placement, and presentation based on business priorities, inventory, customer behavior, and performance.

Identify opportunities to improve product visibility, discovery, conversion, AOV, and category performance.

Develop merchandising strategies for seasonal campaigns, product launches, and key business initiatives.

Drive improvements across sorting, badging, bundling, recommendations, personalization, and promotional merchandising.

Go-to-Market & Cross-Functional Leadership

Partner on digital content and merchandising calendars.

Align product launches, inventory, and marketing plans.

Establish launch-readiness expectations and identify potential merchandising, content, creative, operational, and technical dependencies.

Partner with eCommerce, Marketing, Creative, Product, Inventory, UX, Technology, and Analytics teams.

Translate business and product priorities into clear onsite merchandising requirements and execution plans.

Customer Experience Optimization

Evaluate the customer journey from product discovery through conversion.

Optimize PLPs, PDPs, navigation, search, filters, recommendations, and merchandising modules.

Identify testing and optimization opportunities.

Use customer behavior and performance data to improve the digital shopping experience.

Data & Analytics

Analyze conversion, revenue, AOV, product, category, search, and customer behavior metrics.

Identify trends, opportunities, and underperforming areas.

Develop data-driven merchandising recommendations.

Establish performance baselines and reporting in partnership with Analytics.

Support testing and optimization initiatives and apply learnings to future merchandising strategies.

Product & Category Merchandising

Develop a strong understanding of the OSI product assortment and customer.

Identify hero products, emerging opportunities, underexposed products, and assortment gaps.

Create compelling product and category experiences.

Lead merchandising strategy for new product launches from planning through post-launch evaluation.

Partner with Product, Marketing, Creative, Inventory, and other stakeholders to ensure product priorities are reflected onsite.

Hands-On Execution

Build, maintain, and QA merchandising experiences within eCommerce platforms and related systems.

Execute merchandising updates, campaigns, launches, and onsite experiences accurately and on schedule.

Identify and resolve onsite merchandising issues.

Manage merchandising calendars and maintain accuracy across product content, placement, categorization, navigation, and customer-facing experiences.

Work independently and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

Required Qualifications

4+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, or a related discipline.

Experience in DTC, retail, consumer products, apparel, footwear, sporting goods, outdoor, eyewear, or a similar environment.

Strong understanding of eCommerce merchandising and the digital customer journey.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate customer and site performance data into commercial actions.

Experience using metrics such as:

Conversion rate

Experience supporting new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional initiatives.

Understanding of conversion optimization and testing principles.

Experience leading cross-functional initiatives.

Strong project management, organization, and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with enterprise eCommerce platforms.

Experience with GA4, Adobe Analytics, or Power BI.

Experience managing complex cross-functional digital initiatives.

Experience with onsite search and search merchandising platforms.

Experience with A/B testing or CRO platforms.

Experience with behavioral analytics tools such as ContentSquare or Quantum Metric.

Experience with CMS, PIM, or product content platforms.

Understanding of SEO and its relationship to product discovery.

Experience with premium, performance, technical, or lifestyle products.

Strong understanding of eCommerce merchandising and the digital customer journey.

Hands-on experience with PLP, PDP, navigation, search, categorization, product discovery, and onsite merchandising.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect customer/site performance data to commercial actions.

Experience using conversion rate, AOV, revenue, product performance, category performance, and engagement metrics to make merchandising decisions.

Experience supporting new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional initiatives.
