Job Description

The Opportunity Jainsons International is looking for an entrepreneurial Head of E-Commerce & DTC Growth to build a new direct-to-consumer business within an established apparel company. This is not a role where you will inherit an existing DTC team, agency structure or mature e-commerce operation. You will help create it. Jainsons has spent decades building capabilities in women's apparel design, product development, sourcing, manufacturing and wholesale distribution. We own two women's fashion brands — Rahi and Dizzy Lizzy — and have the ability to continuously design, develop and manufacture new product through our global infrastructure. What we have not yet built is a meaningful direct relationship with the consumer. We believe that represents a major opportunity. We are looking for the person who can help us build that next chapter. The Mission Your mission is straightforward but ambitious: Build a scalable and profitable DTC business using Jainsons' brands, product capabilities and manufacturing infrastructure. Rahi and Dizzy Lizzy provide existing brands and product to work with. But we don't want to artificially limit the opportunity. If consumer data reveals opportunities for new products, categories, capsules or concepts, we have the ability to develop around those opportunities. Our goal is to create a new growth engine for the company. You Will Start With a Blank Canvas There is no large DTC organization waiting for you. You will work directly with ownership and our existing Design, Product Development, Sales, Operations and manufacturing teams to determine what needs to be built. You will help answer questions including: What should our DTC strategy be? Which brand or product should we prioritize? Who is our target consumer? Should TikTok Shop be our first major growth channel? What should the role of Shopify and our brand websites be? How should we approach creators and affiliates? What content do we need? What should we handle internally versus through agencies or specialists? What technology and analytics infrastructure do we need? How should fulfillment and customer service operate? What are the right unit economics? When should we invest more aggressively?
And eventually:
Who do we need to hire to build the team? You won't simply execute somebody else's DTC playbook. You will help create ours.
Phase One:
Build the Foundation Your initial responsibility will be to establish the DTC infrastructure and operating model.
This may include:
Evaluate Rahi, Dizzy Lizzy, existing websites, product, inventory and digital assets. Develop the initial DTC strategy and roadmap. Determine priority products, consumers and channels. Establish the e-commerce technology and analytics stack. Build or improve Shopify/e-commerce operations. Establish TikTok Shop and other relevant social-commerce channels. Determine fulfillment, returns and customer-service processes. Establish reporting and KPI dashboards. Identify agencies, freelancers, creators, technology partners and other outside resources where necessary. Establish initial budgets and testing plans. Create a disciplined test-and-learn process.
Phase Two:
Find What Works We do not expect every idea to succeed. We expect you to test intelligently, measure results and find what works.
You will experiment across:
Product | Price | Creative | Creators | Affiliates | Paid Media | TikTok Shop | Shopify | Email/SMS | Promotions | New Customer Acquisition | Retention The objective is not vanity metrics. The objective is to discover a repeatable, scalable and profitable consumer-acquisition model.
Phase Three:
Scale the Winners Once we identify products, channels and acquisition strategies that work, your responsibility shifts toward scaling them.
That may include:
Increasing investment behind successful customer-acquisition channels. Building a larger creator and affiliate network. Expanding winning product categories. Increasing inventory commitments. Developing products specifically for DTC. Improving retention and repeat purchase. Expanding content production. Building additional digital channels. Developing marketplace opportunities where strategically appropriate. Most importantly, you will work directly with our Design and Product Development teams to turn consumer data into new product.
Our Potential Advantage:
Product Speed Many DTC businesses are strong at digital marketing but weak at product development and manufacturing. Jainsons is the opposite. We already know how to design, develop, source and manufacture women's apparel. That creates an opportunity to build a powerful feedback loop: Consumer Demand → Data → Product Insight → Rapid Development → Test → Reorder → Scale If a silhouette, fabrication, print, detail or price point starts working, we want to know quickly. Then we want to respond quickly. Our ability to react to consumer demand and rapidly create newness could become an important competitive advantage. Rahi & Dizzy Lizzy Our owned brands provide an immediate starting point. You will evaluate the DTC opportunity for both brands and help determine: Target consumer Brand positioning Product strategy Pricing Website/e-commerce strategy Social-commerce strategy Creator strategy Customer-acquisition strategy Retention strategy Assortment architecture But you should not assume every opportunity must fit inside an existing box. We want someone curious enough to ask: What assets do we already have? What does the consumer actually want? Where is the whitespace? What can Jainsons uniquely create? Why This Role Is In-Person This is a new business being built inside an existing apparel company , not a remote digital-marketing position. We believe the person building it needs to be close to the action.
You will work directly alongside:
Ownership | Design | Product Development | Sales | Samples | Inventory | Operations We want you seeing new samples when they arrive. We want you participating in conversations about what we're developing next. We want you able to pull a garment from a rack and ask: "Could we test this?" We want Design hearing directly from you: "Consumers are responding to this — can we develop five more versions?" And we want you to understand the capabilities of Jainsons well enough to continually identify ways to turn those capabilities into consumer opportunities. Physical proximity to product and decision-making is an important part of this position. Build the Team Initially, this will be a hands-on leadership role. You should be comfortable personally getting into the details while also knowing when to use outside specialists. As the business proves itself and grows, you will be expected to identify and build the team required to scale it.
Future capabilities may include:
Performance Marketing Content & Creative Creator/Affiliate Management E-Commerce Merchandising CRM / Email / SMS Customer Experience Analytics Marketplace Management Operations We are not looking to build a large team before proving the model. We want to build intelligently as the business earns the right to scale. What We Are Looking For This role requires someone who has built , not simply managed.
Ideal candidates will have:
7+ years of relevant DTC, e-commerce, growth or digital-commerce experience. Experience building or materially scaling a consumer brand. Fashion/apparel experience strongly preferred, although exceptional beauty, lifestyle or consumer-product experience will be considered. Deep Shopify/e-commerce understanding. Hands-on knowledge of customer acquisition and performance marketing. TikTok Shop and/or social-commerce experience highly valuable. Creator and affiliate-commerce experience. Strong understanding of merchandising and product economics. Experience with email/SMS and customer retention. Strong analytical and financial understanding of DTC. Experience hiring or managing digital/e-commerce teams. Ability to manage agencies and outside partners. Entrepreneurial mentality. Comfort building without a large existing infrastructure. You Should Understand the Numbers You should be fluent in: Revenue | Gross Margin | Contribution Margin | CAC | ROAS | MER | AOV | Conversion Rate | LTV | Repeat Purchase | Return Rate | Inventory Turn We don't want to celebrate $1 million of online sales if it costs $1.2 million to generate them. Profitable, sustainable growth matters. What Matters Most We care about what you have actually built. Candidates should be prepared to discuss: A DTC business you personally helped build or materially scale. Revenue before and after your involvement. What you personally owned. Customer-acquisition strategy. CAC and contribution economics. Shopify/e-commerce experience. TikTok Shop/social-commerce experience. Creator/affiliate experience. Team members you hired. Agencies and external partners you managed. Major mistakes you made and what you learned. How you would approach your first 90 days at Jainsons. If you have only worked inside a mature DTC organization where specialists handled acquisition, creative, technology, merchandising and analytics independently, this may not be the right role. We need someone who understands how those pieces fit together and can build them. Why This Opportunity Is Different Most entrepreneurs trying to build a fashion DTC company start with an idea — and then have to find designers, manufacturers, sourcing, product development and inventory. Jainsons already has decades of infrastructure behind those functions.
We have:
Established Design and Product Development teams Extensive apparel manufacturing capabilities Global sourcing infrastructure Existing product and inventory Two owned women's fashion brands Existing wholesale relationships Operational infrastructure Ability to rapidly develop new product Ownership willing to invest behind opportunities that demonstrate potential You don't need to build the apparel company. You need to help us build the consumer business on top of it.
