The eCommerce D2C Shipping Manager will oversee and optimize all shipping and fulfillment operations related to our Direct-to-Consumer eCommerce channels. This role is crucial in ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of products to our customers while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:
Shipping Operations Management:
Oversee daily shipping and fulfillment activities to ensure efficient and accurate order processing. Develop and implement shipping policies and procedures to streamline operations and improve performance. Manage relationships with shipping carriers to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective solutions. Monitor and prepare resources in advance to account for spikes in sales due to promotions and marketing campaignsInventory Management:
Collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment of products to fulfill orders in a timely manner. Monitor inventory turnover rates and adjust shipping strategies accordingly to optimize inventory flow.Performance Monitoring:
Analyze shipping and fulfillment metrics, such as delivery times, order accuracy, and return rates, to identify areas for improvement. Prepare and present regular reports on shipping performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and cost analysis. Track & monitor daily employee shipping output. Performance manage as needed to ensure daily rates are achieved.Quality:
Partner with the Quality team to implement standard packing methods. Ensure all team members are properly trained on standard shipment pack configurationsCustomer Experience:
Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints related to shipping and fulfillment. Implement initiatives to enhance the customer experience, including packaging improvements and shipping options.Cost Management:
Develop and manage the shipping budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Negotiate shipping rates and contracts with carriers to achieve favorable terms and conditions.Team Leadership:
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of shipping and fulfillment staff, ensuring they have the tools and training needed to perform effectively. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging continuous improvement and professional growth. Create an incentive program that outlines a roadmap for employee development.Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all shipping practices comply with regulatory requirements and company policies. Implement safety procedures and practices to protect products and staff during shipping and handling.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management, with a focus on eCommerce or D2C operations. Proven experience in managing shipping operations, including working with 3PL providers and shipping carriers. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and act on shipping data and metrics. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and motivating staff. Proficiency in shipping and inventory management software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with international shipping and customs regulations. Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and order management systems (OMS). Certifications in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) are a plus.What We Offer:
