J Retail & E-Commerce Manager Upper Atmosphere | New Orleans, LA Overview Upper Atmosphere is seeking a polished and results-driven Retail & E-Commerce Manager to lead our luxury retail environment and support the growth of our online business. This role oversees store operations, team leadership, customer experience, inventory, merchandising, sales, and e-commerce execution while ensuring the Upper Atmosphere brand is represented consistently across every customer touchpoint. The ideal candidate is an experienced retail leader with e-commerce expertise who understands luxury service, operational excellence, and how to build a high-performing team.
Responsibilities:
Retail Store Management Oversee all day-to-day store operations, including sales, customer service, staffing, opening/closing procedures, and store administration. Lead, coach, and develop the retail team while establishing clear expectations for sales, service, professionalism, and performance. Manage recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, scheduling, attendance, and performance management. Drive sales performance and consistently work toward store revenue goals. Oversee POS operations, cash handling, daily reconciliation, and reporting. Maintain a polished, organized, and elevated store environment consistent with Upper Atmosphere's luxury brand standards. Oversee visual merchandising, product presentation, displays, and overall store experience. Resolve customer concerns and provide thoughtful, high-level service recovery. E-Commerce Management Manage day-to-day operations of the Upper Atmosphere e-commerce storefront. Support product listings, descriptions, pricing, collections, imagery, and inventory availability. Oversee online order processing, fulfillment, shipping, returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries. Coordinate inventory between the retail store and e-commerce channels. Coordinate with vendors and fulfillment partners as needed. Inventory & Operations Maintain accurate inventory across retail and e-commerce channels. Oversee receiving, stocking, replenishment, transfers, cycle counts, and inventory adjustments. Monitor sell-through and identify opportunities for replenishment, merchandising, and purchasing. Support reporting, bookkeeping coordination, and other administrative functions. Qualifications 3+ years of retail management or store leadership experience. Luxury, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or premium retail experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience hiring, training, managing, and developing retail teams. Experience managing an e-commerce platform, preferably Shopify. Experience managing both physical retail and e-commerce operations strongly preferred. Strong understanding of inventory management, POS systems, fulfillment, and retail operations. Proven ability to drive sales and manage against performance goals. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Exceptional organization and attention to detail. Professional, polished communication and leadership presence. Ability to work independently, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events as needed. The Ideal Candidate You are a leader, operator, salesperson, and brand steward . $50,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
