Job Description
Join a team whose mission is to be a catalyst for building community, inspiring readers, and expanding book access for all through a global network of volunteer-led Little Free Library book-exchange boxes. The E-Commerce Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of Little Free Library's e-commerce program. This role helps ensure a high-quality online shopping experience by maintaining product information, supporting digital marketing campaigns, managing online marketplace content, and creating customer-facing product resources. The position works closely with the Director of E-Commerce and cross-functional teams to execute retail promotions, launch new products, and support revenue growth while advancing Little Free Library's mission. Key Responsibilities Manage the online product catalog by creating, updating, and removing product listings, pricing, images, descriptions, and inventory information. Set up, execute, and monitor retail campaigns across email, SMS, social media, and the online store. Implement website updates to support promotions, seasonal campaigns, new product launches, and merchandising initiatives. Create and maintain product content, including photography, video, product descriptions, and search engine optimized (SEO) copy. Develop and maintain customer-facing materials such as assembly instructions, installation guides, product care information, and FAQs. Support Little Free Library's e-commerce sales channels, including Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, and other online marketplaces. Research, source, and coordinate Little Free Library branded merchandise for organizational programs, events, and promotional initiatives. Monitor the online store to ensure products, collections, and customer information remain accurate and up to date. Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Service, Programs, and Operations to support product launches and organizational campaigns. Recommend improvements to the online shopping experience, merchandising, and e-commerce processes. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Characteristics Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience supporting e-commerce, retail operations, digital marketing, or online merchandising. Experience working with Shopify or another e-commerce platform preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Experience with Amazon, Etsy, email marketing platforms, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or SEO is a plus.
