Job Description

Overview Job Purpose The New York Stock Exchange is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Transactions Product Strategy team — a group at the center of NYSE's efforts to drive innovation and growth across US equities and options markets. This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership, offering the opportunity to shape the future of trading. In this role, you will execute on the group's product strategy roadmap with the goal of driving innovation and growth across NYSE's equities and options business lines. You will work at the intersection of market structure, quantitative research, and cross-functional collaboration — building and applying quantitative methods to drive exchange trading product evolution, analyzing key market trends, developing advanced analytics, and identifying growth opportunities for the business and industry. You will help develop appropriate research functionality, leveraging industry best practices and the considerable data and technology resources available within NYSE and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). In doing so, you will contribute to NYSE's efforts to extend and defend its leadership position across its cash equity and options trading, listings, and technology businesses. Responsibilities Execute on parts of the group's product strategy roadmap across NYSE's equities and options business lines, supporting initiatives from ideation through completion. Build and apply quantitative methods to analyze trading data, model market dynamics, and surface actionable insights that directly inform product development and enhancement. Monitor key market structure trends and emerging opportunities — summarizing research findings into concrete product concepts and analytical inputs for NYSE's trading, listings, and data businesses. Support internal teams and external stakeholder engagements to help develop and refine the product roadmap. Prepare and present research findings, analytical outputs, and product analyses for review by senior team members and NYSE management. Manage workflows and project timelines across concurrent research and product initiatives, ensuring work is delivered accurately and on schedule. Knowledge and Experience Bachelor's degree required, with a record of outstanding academic achievement. Master's or Ph.D. preferred. 2+ years of work experience in electronic trading, exchange operations, or other trading research. Strong understanding of US equity and/or options market structure and limit order book dynamics. Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (other languages a plus). Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau a plus. Ability to work independently, following up with various stakeholders and determining the best course of action as circumstances warrant. Strong communication skills and ability to interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Collaborative nature with strong intellectual curiosity. New York Base Salary Range The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $125,000 - $165,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual. Regular full-time ICE employees are eligible for a suite of competitive employee benefits, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental and vision), a 401(k) plan, life insurance, time off, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.
