Job Description

Marketing Associate Position Summary The Marketing Associate is responsible for promoting the Best Western Plus Burley Inn & Convention Center, restaurant, lounge, Budget Motel and related services through digital marketing, community outreach, and promotional campaigns. This position works closely with the Sales Manager and General Manager to increase brand awareness, drive hotel occupancy, promote events, and strengthen relationships within the community. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Digital Marketing Manage and maintain the property's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels. Create engaging content including photos, videos, graphics, and promotional materials. Develop and schedule social media posts that highlight hotel amenities, events, restaurant specials, and community involvement. Monitor social media engagement and respond to comments and messages in a professional and timely manner. Marketing & Promotions Design flyers, brochures, signage, menus, and promotional materials. Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns for hotel stays, meetings, conventions, weddings, banquets, and restaurant promotions. Coordinate seasonal promotions, holiday campaigns, and special events. Help maintain the property's website by ensuring accurate information, photos, and promotional offers. Community Relations Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, chambers of commerce, and tourism partners. Attend networking events, community meetings, trade shows, and local events representing the property. Coordinate sponsorships, donations, and community partnerships. Photography & Content Creation Capture high-quality photos and videos of events, guestrooms, food, amenities, and property updates. Maintain an organized library of marketing assets. Create short promotional videos and reels for social media and advertising. Event Support Assist the Sales Department with promoting upcoming meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events. Coordinate event marketing before, during, and after each event. Gather testimonials, photos, and content to showcase successful events. Reporting & Analytics Track marketing performance using social media insights, website analytics, and campaign results. Prepare monthly marketing reports with recommendations for future campaigns. Monitor online reviews and assist in maintaining a positive online reputation. General Responsibilities Maintain consistent branding across all marketing materials. Stay informed of hospitality marketing trends and best practices. Collaborate with hotel departments to promote services and special offers. Perform additional marketing and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred. Previous experience in marketing, hospitality, sales, or customer service preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with social media platforms and content creation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and graphic design software such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. Photography and basic video editing experience is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for events and promotions. $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
