Job Description

The Patterson Library is looking for a creative, energetic team member with experience in marketing, communications, social media, or event planning who wants to build an impressive portfolio while helping create programs that bring our community together. This is a part-time position averaging 18 hours per week -minimum 3 days per week, with a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends. Must have a car. Compensation is $18 per hours/18 hours per week. We're Looking for Someone Who... Experience creating attractive marketing materials using Canva and Microsoft Publisher is desirable. Has experience managing social media accounts and creating engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms. Experience with Constant Contact or similar email marketing software is highly preferred. Is tech-savvy and is comfortable setting up audiovisual equipment , including laptops, projectors, microphones, etc. Enjoys working with people and provides outstanding customer service to patrons, presenters, and community partners. Is organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Is comfortable speaking before groups and representing the library at programs and community events. Can work independently while contributing as part of a collaborative team. Is available to work 18 hours per week over at least three days , including evenings, weekends, and special events as needed. Must have a car Preferred Experience Marketing, communications, event planning, public relations, nonprofit, education, customer service, or related experience. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Library Science, or a related field preferred.
